Moon, oils and me I’ve jumped ship! Bye-bye Young Living, hello DōTERRA!

You may or may not have heard but I’ve decided to make the switch from Young Living oils to DōTERRA oils. Which honestly I’m super excited about, and can’t wait to be a wellness advocate! Now if you’re in the essential oil world this is talk worthy but for me honestly, it wasn’t a huge decision making the switch. It felt like it was a great path to walk towards! Opportunity wise, for my own personal growth/healing, and what I’ve been lacking in my life recently in joining a wellness-focused community here in BC. It’s funny when I first was approached to start a Essential Oil small business a year ago, DōTERRA and Young Living approached me at the same time! So I took it as a huge sign from the universe on that this was going to be apart of my path. After a year with Young Living, I was debating on leaving, and not even a week from this thought of calling YL and letting go of my essential oil supply and what I call “healthy addiction”. A good friend and fellow student from my aromatherapy class approached me with DōTERRA and reignited my flame, and allowing my “healthy obsession” to continue! So here is why I decided to take her up on the opportunity.

First and foremost I won’t be talking smack on either company, on who says what against who, and who claims this or that. At the end of the day as long as everyone is trying to make happy healthy choices in the wellness industry and is coming from the right heart-centered place its all that matters to me. I’m an Essential Oil junkie ask anyone who knows me and they know that I never leave home without them! Now with that said the reasons I made the switch! Please also note that these are all my personal reasons and aren’t based on anything but what I noticed between the two Oil Companies:

Firstly and the biggest reasons is….YL Oil blends all kinda smell the same. Like honestly my nose would have the hardest time trying to find the difference between two blends but couldn’t! I looked into it and found that a lot of their blends have the other blends within another blend. A lot of their blends are also complicated to the nose with up to as many as 20 oils in one blend! When I was taught in school the max should be no more than 5 single oils in a blend! So let’s just say I’m looking to simplify my life and decided to simply what oil blends I use first.

Secondly, I felt alone out here in an oily sense and personal as well. Most Young Living peeps live in Alberta, making it hard to feel supported or connected in BC. I love surrounding myself with like-minded health/wellness/oil-loving individuals and find that the community in DōTERRA is a lot more involved in there people all over the world! And just that, interested in the people, groups, and individuals themselves first before trying to sell them a product! By nature humans are social creatures and when we feel part of something especially a group we can achieve anything, be supported, and help one another! So in wanting to reach out to my community and because I’m a believer that we need more human connection I decided to go with a company closer to home, and concentrated on the people coming together.

Lastly, the business side of it is a lot more manageable and achievable! Especially next to Young Livings set up. With a clear way of how to grow your business off the ground, step by step guides, and support like no other within the DōTERRA community. Being the ambitious individual I am and love the idea of making some extra sustainable cash on the side has made me excited to connect with others in helping them with a small business where I believe in the products, the message, and the opportunities they offer! On top of charity’s, I can get behind. The why I’ve decided to be apart of DōTERRA business to continue sharing the abundance with others, growing inside and out not limiting myself in the I cants anymore and knowing that my life can be anything I want it to look like. Surrounded by people who are just as ambitious, growth orientated, and hungry for wellness and wealth opportunities!

I won’t lie I will miss the Thieves cleaning line from YL which I haven’t found a better natural cleaning line yet that smells divine and works like a gem. But to be fair if that was the only thing I’m going to miss from YL I know I’m making the right switch, and I can’t wait to give the OnGaurd Cleaning line a try! I’ll let you know what I think! Planning on teaching classes on oils, co-teaching yoga classes, and more! Feeling revived and excited about where life takes me next when it comes to Oils!
